DIFFERENT LEVELS AVAILABLE TO CHALLENGE EVERYONE!
You can challenge yourself to any level, and can change your mind at anytime because you don’t have to indicate the level when signing up. You can start on a higher level, and drop down to a lower level if you can’t hit the daily mileage. But, if you miss a day, you’re out!
— Silver: at least 3 miles/day
— Gold: at least 5 miles/day
— Winter Warrior: at least 1 mile/day outdoors
For each level, you must run the minimum mileage every day, not just averaging that mileage. So if you run 5+ miles for 30 days, and 1 mile for 1 day, you will finish at the Bronze Level due to that 1 day of lower mileage. Each level is determined by your actual daily mileage, not your average daily mileage.
100% OF PROCEEDS TO CHARITY!
The 2019 Winter Challenge is produced by Boston’s RACE Cancer Foundation and will raise thousands of dollars to battle cancer. All proceeds will be distributed based on your charity choice when registering. Our 2020 partners are still being finalized.
Have you joined the conversation on our Facebook event page? We have Winter Warriors spanning the globe in 5 different countries and in 39 states across the USA. Share your selfies and tag #winterchallenge in your posts for a chance to win weekly prizes.
DAILY AND WEEKLY PRIZES ALL MONTH LONG!
We already have a huge pile of prizes to award all month long. Some prizes will be awarded to randomly selected runners, while others will be awarded to runners based on speed, distance, and creative #winterchallenge posts on social media.
JOIN THE TEAM CHALLENGE FOR EXTRA BRAGGING RIGHTS!
The Winter Challenge is much more fun when you create a team and get your friends and family involved. There’s strength in numbers, because the total mileage for all team members determines your team’s ranking on the leaderboard. BONUS: our challenge is the one and only original, so there's no "Teams can have a maximum of 10 people." restriction to worry about.
LOG YOUR RUNS IN THE NEW & IMPROVED RACEDAY APP.
You can register and log runs for multiple people via the same login. (see below) You will have two ways to log runs, either via a mobile website (Raceday web version) which can be accessed from any web browser, or via RaceMenu’s Raceday mobile app. The 2020 version of the app will be released and available for download on December 31st, 2019.
You’ll have four days to log each daily run. For example, you have until 11:59pm on January 5th to log your January 1st run, or until 11:59pm January 20th to log your January 16th run. If you miss the 4-day deadline, you’re out of the challenge–no exceptions.
