I’m not quite sure how to write these words, but Pete passed away this morning around 6:30. His family was here and by his side, and he was peaceful. I am glad that he won’t have to suffer anymore, and know that he is in a better place, but will miss him every single day.

Sorry for the lack of update yesterday, but Pete has had a couple of days with pretty significant anxiety. The hospice team is working on coming up with something to help him settle. After an almost three-year battle with Chondrosarcoma of the Larynx, Pete was put on hospice care last week. The cancer was diagnosed initially in August of 2020, after he developed a progressively hoarse voice earlier in the year (during the initial Covid lockdown).
