I’m not quite sure how to write these words, but Pete passed away this morning around 6:30. His family was here and by his side, and he was peaceful. I am glad that he won’t have to suffer anymore, and know that he is in a better place, but will miss him every single day.

Sorry for the lack of update yesterday, but Pete has had a couple of days with pretty significant anxiety.  The hospice team is working on coming up with something to help him settle.  Always the overachiever, he seems to outwill any medication they have tried.  So, back to the drawing board.  But we’ll get there.…

Today was another good day.  Not too much new information to report.  We’re just focusing on relaxation and comfort.  He’s is very much enjoying the meals that have been delivered by everyone. Today was another good day.  Pete actually said he wished he felt this good every day.  There has been a steady stream of visitors.  It is so amazing to have such an incredible outpouring of love and support.  He works with such amazing people and has such wonderful friends and family.  It is so heartwarming…
